Michelle Sickelmore
(Owner and Managing Director of Edukinetics)
- B.Sc Human Movement Science Physiology
- B.Sc Hons Kinderkinetics
Michelle studied at NWU Potchefstroom and obtained her Honors degree in 2015. Working with children is something that has always come naturally to her and it is when she is most content. She knew from a very young age that she wanted to pursue a career that allows her to be around children everyday. Since starting Edukinetics she has gained a lot of knowledge and experience with helping children to reach their full potential through movement. Michelle is especially passionate about the motor development of babies. Her wish is that Edukinetics leaves a lasting impact on every child’s life.
Besides little people, she also loves reading, spending time with family and friends and exploring all the beauty and excitement Cape Town has to offer.
Words that she strives to live by everyday: “In a world where you can be anything, be kind”.

Awande studied at Stellenbosch University and acquired her honours degree in Kinderkinetics. Being surrounded by children brings her great joy and satisfaction. This has driven her to follow a career in Kinderkinetics. Since working with children is second nature to her, she has put this skill into use by making an impact on all the children’s lives that she is privileged to meet and work with. After acquiring her understanding about the importance of movement and exercise, Awande has the desire to apply her knowledge and assist children in their growth and development.
Other than being around children, Awande loves to play hockey, enjoys activities that give her an adrenaline rush, reading and she appreciates spending quality time with family and friends.
Awande lives by the following words “Even though you’re growing up, you should never stop having fun” – Nina Dobrev
